Option 1: Hold down the CTRL key when starting WinNc.
Please try to hold the CTRL key while starting. This way you can reset the application settings. The reset registration data option will clear the current registration and may clear problems related to the registration data. Other reset option are:
- Clear configuration
- Clear settings
- Clear tabs
- Reset toolbars
- Reset registation
- Reset screen location
- Clear all (configuration, FTP, etc)
Create a backup of configuration
(If you are in the trial / share mode you can hold the CTRL key and click on the “Trialing for x day(s), continue trial” button to enter the startup settings panel)
In some cases running the startup settings and clearing the configuration several times may solve your problem in WinNc.
Option 2: A second install in a different folder / new folder
Install a seperate version of WinNc in a new folder using a different folder name like: c:\Program Files\WinNc2. Installed in a new folder will ensure that WinNc also creates new registry entries.
Option 3: Uninstall and re-install WinNc in a different / new folder
Uninstall your current WinNc and re-install WinNc also in a new folder using a different folder name like: c:\Program Files\WinNc2. This will ensure WinNc is installed without old copies of WinNc interfering. Installed in a new folder will ensure that WinNc also creates new registry entries.
(You can make a backup of your original WinNc folder to ensure you keep your user data)
